FAQ

Quick answers.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Hume says the Hume Health app is free with both devices. For the Band, Hume states that no subscription is required to use it or access your raw data. For the Pod, Hume says no premium plan is needed to weigh in or view your body composition. Optional paid plans add coaching (Hume Premium on the Band page, Hume Plus on the Pod page). See Hume's site for current plan details.

Which one should I get?

If you want to understand sleep, heart rate, HRV and recovery day to day, start with the Band. If your goal is body composition, like fat, muscle and body water, start with the Hume Pod. Each works on its own, and both report into the same Hume Health app if you want the full picture.

Can more than one person use the Hume Pod?

Yes. Hume says each person signs in with their own Hume account, and up to 24 devices can connect to one Pod 2.0. It connects to one phone at a time, so another user nearby may need to close their app while you weigh in.

Can I wear the Band in the shower or pool?

Hume rates the Band 2.0 IP68: dust-resistant and water-resistant up to 1 meter (about 3.2 feet) for up to 2 hours.

Will they work with my phone?

Hume lists the Band as compatible with iPhone 8 or newer on iOS 14+ and Android 8.0+. The Pod connects over Bluetooth and, per Hume, syncs with Apple Health and Google Fit.

What if it is not right for me?

Hume offers a 45-day return policy on its devices. Hume says devices must be in like-new condition, in the original packaging and bought directly from Hume, and return shipping costs may apply. Check the current terms at Hume before you buy.

Who sells and ships the products?

Hume Health. Every button on this page takes you to Hume's website, where you pay, and Hume ships and supports your order. Track Your Vitals is an independent affiliate site, not Hume.

Is this medical advice?

No. This page is product information only. Use the readings as general wellness information and talk to a healthcare professional about any health concern.
